August will be a transformative month. I can feel it. A good chunk of the year is over, and after having a bit too much fun in July, it’s time to buckle down, maximize the rest of the summer, and set ourselves up for success in the fall. It doesn’t mean we have to stop jamming; it just means we need to jam more responsibly.
Lately, I’ve been seeking out free events and activities that don’t hurt my pockets or progress. However, I still find myself going out and spending way more on food and alcohol than I should. This doesn’t only negatively affect my overall health, but potentially my skin. My esthetician recommended that I give up alcohol to achieve the glow I have been so desperately seeking.
Honestly, my first thought was, hell no, not my precious wine. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I could stand to have a healthier relationship with alcohol.
This month, I’m going all out! I’m taking control, and instead of investing in temporary vices and spending impulsively, I’m investing in myself. It’s time we transform into new, better versions of ourselves. Are you with me? Great! Let’s go.
This month’s challenges:
- 21 Days: no alcohol – It takes 21 days to form a habit. Let’s do this!
- Invest in one MAJOR thing that you have wanted for yourself – For me, this is Invisalign aligners. I’m excited to start the journey of enhancing my smile.
- Get your diet in check – Health is wealth. Take an objective look at your diet, and see what you can cut or adjust to improve. For me, I’m cutting dairy and increasing the greens. I’m tired of bloating, and the possible negative effects of dairy on my skin. Wish me luck, because I love cheese.
It’s time to go all out! What will you do to invest in yourself this month? Talk to me in the comments.
