Guys, January threw me for a loop! The year started off great. My credit score rose, and I even tried (but, later failed) ‘Dry January’– more on that later. So, let’s jump straight into it. I hit a brick wall, when my love life seemingly took a turn for the worse. I had gone almost a full year with no romantic disappointment. I’ll spare the details on the latest, but if I have learned anything from my experiences in hell– I mean the dating world– it is:
You will never be good enough for the wrong person, and that’s okay. You deserve the right person, someone who will accept you and love you for who you are. That person does exist.
Therefore, if any doubts exist when dating someone, you have to listen to that inner voice telling you, this person may not be the best match for me, even if it hurts and conflicts with your desires. Nine times out of ten, the universe will step in and cut to black, ending the show that you were binge watching in your head. Once the show (relationship, rather) is over, it’s okay to wear black to mourn– I really hope you enjoyed that dramatic analogy. The good news is, a little denim jacket always brings new life to an all-black look. Just remember, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and new life after a relationship has ended. You just have to find it. I will find healing, and I’m sure you will too.
I like to get a little edgy in the meantime. Because, you can still dress like a heartbreaker, even if you’re temporarily heartbroken.
