The Desert + Denim

Last weekend, I needed to get out of the city. As much as I love Los Angeles, sometimes, I just need to escape the smog, honking horns, and busy streets. I had been wanting to visit Joshua Tree National Park, and Sunday was the perfect day to make the trip. The amazing natural gem is just two hours outside of L.A., nestled in the Mojave Desert. The drive wasn’t bad on a Sunday morning. When I arrived and entered the park, I felt a calm, unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

I took in all the peacefulness of the desert. On my way out the park, it was the golden hour; the sunset turned the sky into a masterpiece. I could not resist the pristine natural lighting. My roommate and I had to pull over on the side of the road, and risk it all for the perfect shot. In that moment, my path seemed clear. Here’s one of my favorite looks of the day.
