Gray isn’t the most inviting color. In fact, it’s commonly associated with death. Many ladies are either fearful or skeptical of rocking this hue on their lips. However, many brands have recently introduced shades of grey lipsticks (and there’s far more than 12). If you’re bold and wanting to jump on this trend, be advised that picking the right lip liner is key. I was having trouble finding the perfect shade until I realized that I could just create it with a color and liner I already had.
Since, I used a matte lipstick, I prepped my lips with my trusty Colourpop Lippie Primer. Then, I lined and filled in the creases with MAC Technakohl Eye Liner in ‘Cast Iron’ (Yes, you can use an eye liner to line and fill your lips). I used MAC Lipstick in ‘Stone‘ which is more of a brownish taupe shade. It took plenty of strokes, but the result was stone cold. It blended so well over the liner, which goes on as a blueish charcoal.
