I had been waiting for the occasion to rock a gold lip, and then Queen Bey dropped her latest visual album, Lemonade. I was feeling rather royal after playing the record on repeat for a few days, Miami bound, I decided to pack my gold lipstick and luminizer, make my own lemonade, and slay.

There are plenty of product options for you to create your unique ‘lemonade lips.’ A frosty yellow-gold lipstick is ideal. You may also opt for a highly pigmented yellow lipstick, such as NYX Macaron Lippie in ‘Citron’ as a your color base. If you choose a frosty yellow shade, you’ll want to prime your lips first to fill in fine lines and prevent drying. I recommend a light, butter-based lip balm or Colourpop Lippie Primer. Finish with gold eye shadow or luminizer.
