Ever wanted to take your statement lip to the next level? Sometimes, a well executed red lip or a bold punch of unconventional lip color just isn’t enough. Why not add a little bit of sparkle, and shine like the star you are?
Random nights out in the City of Angels inspired me to channel my inner Hollywood. My dark and distressed skinny jeans, white tank top, and black, lived-in leather jacket needed a pop of color. After going on a product junkie binge in Sephora and scouring my own train case full of forgotten lip trends, I found my match.
With these four products, (Sephora Collection Precious Gold Lumizer, Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Glitter Single, Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick ‘Private Boudoir,’ and Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick ‘Plan 9’) I created some dope bedazzled lip looks.
Start by applying your lip color of choice. Then, apply a small amount of luminizer or glitter eye shadow on your hand. Dab the sparkle on your lips using your finger or a slanted lip brush.
To achieve a more iridescent look, use a lip brush to combine your desired lipstick color with your luminizer or creamy glitter eye shadow on your hand prior to application. I recommend using a swirling motion for a more interesting finish.
